"OK! Do wear a jacket to keep yourself warm. It is cold outside!"
"C'mon, Mom! I guess the weather is pleasant. I don't need one."
"Well! In that case you can stay inside. It is very cold outside and you will fall sick if you don't wear a jacket!"
Ancient wisdom had us believe that the higher we climb, the harder would be the fall. Down the ages, this metaphor seldom curtailed the human spirit of reaching out for the skies and beyond. The human race has continued its upward march relentlessly with the spirit of entrepreneurship and adventure often guiding us to dizzying levels, especially when one perceives this growth from down below.
In the course of a recent coaching session, the conversation veered around to the workplace. My coachee said he was quite happy with his current position as he had a great team and was part of a company known for its core values and work ethics. In a nutshell, Life was Good.
